Quick Hit at Little Six

There was great weather this Saturday at the horse track, but I only had one exacta win in seven races. Fortunately, that was enough to recover all of my bets and leave me $16 ahead for the day. A lot of long shots were coming in and some days that’s the way it goes. Next weekend is the Belmont stakes with “I’ll Have Another” making a run at the final leg of the triple crown. Only 11 other horses have won the triple crown. It should be an exciting race!

On Sunday I decided to stop in at Little Six Casino which is next to the larger Mystic Lake Casino. I think the slot machines at the smaller casino are more generous, although you still have to work at it and be lucky. I was up by $50 after the first hour, but that didn’t last long. There was a good size crowd and they had put in some new machines that I was not familiar with. Toward the end of the second hour, I was down about $60, when an open one cent Flaming Sevens Quick Hit machine caught my eye. I started playing a moderate 90 cents per spin and after about 5 or 6 spins a bunch of quick hit symbols came up on the screen. The payout was 58,400 credits or $584 bucks. That was a nice win to end the day with.
