Mystic Lake Casino is known for having some of the tightest slots in the state. But, if you go there as often as I do, you can start to find the machines that payout more often. But, don’t get your hopes up. You will still be lucky if you break even. They couldn’t afford to give out all that free stuff unless they were making tons of cash off the slots. This past Saturday it was hard to find a parking space and the casino floor was packed. Several of the conference rooms were hosting meetings and they had several promotions running, so that helped bring in the crowd. I did see some “high-rollers” who were working with several hundred dollars in their slot machines. I didn’t see any large payouts. Most of the people that I encountered were working the slots pretty hard with little coming back their way. Me included. I was only up for a brief time, then spent the rest of the afternoon trying to recover my losses. We ended up leaving with a tee-shirt, a stainless thermos, and five six-packs of soda.
