Indian Casinos in Wisconsin and Minnesota seem to be doing well. Most are expanding and adding more attractions this year. Unfortunately, that means they are still collecting our hard earned money in exchange for less than expected payouts. Reaching the bonus round on a slot machine used to mean a nice $100+ payout. Now the bonus rounds are anemic with $20 and $30 payouts the norm. It takes a lot of money to maintain a large facility and pay the bills, so it is no surprise that as casinos expand, it will become harder and harder to win a jackpot.
